
Dynamic stretching uses motions to accompany with a stretch, but do not confuse this with ballistic stretching which involves ‘bouncing’, dynamic stretching on the other hand uses controlled motions to do a dynamic stretch.
The video should give you all a brief run-through on dynamic stretching. As in Injury Prevention part 2, I mentioned that static stretching only reduces your strength output by 9% for an hour, which is vital for athletes, especially climbers where every ounce of strength is important.
